Lucie "Lucrezie" Žáčkova
Hi, I am Lucie.
I started out as a poor student who didn't have the money to have a dress made for a medieval event. And since my great-grandmother was a professional seamstress and I probably inherited some of that taste for sewing from her, I started creating first for myself.
First it was veils and other simple things. Eventually I found a liking for sewing and my friends started begging me to make something for them too.
So that's how it all started. I started dressing first friends, then acquaintances, and then after a few years, complete strangers started to come forward. That's when I thought, "This is what I love about this job. If you try to do it properly, people will come.
From medieval tailoring I started to expand my range to include Renaissance, Baroque, until I ended up sewing backless coats, ladies and men's civilian coats, historicizing fantasy costumes, and ordinary extraordinary evening dresses. Gentlemen I like to please with luxurious suit vests and ladies I like to dress in elegant dresses, wedding gowns or accessories.
